Founded in July 1873, Maison de la Bonne Presse was an important French publishing house. It had this name until 1969, before becoming Bayard Presse in 1970, in order to modernize its image. Two children, sitting on a rock in the foreground, stop in the heart of the Alpine pastures. Each person carries a wooden basket on their back, typical of mountain work, used to transport hay, wood or provisions.
