Here we have an early black and white photo of a Sodom Apple (Calotropis procera R. Br.). The original image was captured from the early 1900’s near En Gedi, along the Western shore of the Dead Sea. Sodom Apples are abundant in the area around Sodom, near the Dead Sea.

Here we have an early black and white photo taken from a small boat on, the Dead Sea. The distant mountain is Jebel Usdum, often referred to as the Mountain of Sodom. We estimate the original image to have been captured in the early 1920’s.
